This past year has truly tested our patience, our perseverance, and our humanity. We’ve seen dining room tables simultaneously playing host to math lessons and Zoom calls with clients; local restaurants outfitting employee vehicles for deliveries to healthcare workers pulling their 2nd double shift of the week; and nonprofit agencies tripling operations as their services become a lifeline for hundreds of families struggling with poverty, mental illness, and domestic violence.
Although our region has struggled this year, we have also come together in a beautiful show of compassion and empathy. From hearts adorning our windows to donated meals for our “hometown heroes,” we’ve had front row seats to an outpouring of kindness during these times of uncertainty. Because of your trust and generosity, the Community Foundation was privileged to be a part of this outpouring, demonstrating the flexibility and responsiveness for which we were founded 22 years ago. Within a few short weeks of community closures this past March:
These efforts were only possible because of you. Your faith in our mission and your generosity to our cause allow us to remain nimble in uncertainly, to pivot as needs arise, and to give in extraordinary ways. In this season of giving, please partner with us again as we take on another wave of relief efforts. Gifts to our Annual Fund allow us to remain flexible and responsive in the midst of the unknown. Through your partnership, the Foundation can continue to be a stable source of support for our charitable community, regardless of what 2021 may bring.
